Girardinichthys Viviparous is commonly known as the Black Sailfin Goodeid, and was the first species of the family of Goodeids to be scientifically described. It has a broad dorsal fin with a dark longitudinal line through the body, in which the dorsal, caudal and anal fis are black in males. The females, like many other livebearers can easily be mistaken for other goodeid females, which is why they should be kept in a species tank only...
